State Farm Insurance is one of the largest insurance companies in the United States. Employed at a local agency in Rolling Meadows Illinois, I learned how a business operates on a day to day basis. Details include promoting a positive atmosphere, rethinking sales tactics, hiring new employees, and even how to terminate employees. Sate Farm also allowed me to get in touch with current customers to discuss policy information with them, such as expiration, special offers, and other valuable information.
The Xtreme Professional League
The Xtreme Professional League ( www.thexpl.com ) is a professional online gaming league. The idea of the XPL is to create the most premier league on the market. With state of the art Anti-Cheat and prizes to the games, the XPL is at the top of every gamers list of leagues to play. My job at the XPL was Public Relations Manager. My job was to contact sponsors to support our league by donating prizes. The first sponsor was Branzone ( www.branzone.com ). Brazone is one of the largest online hosting companies to this day. With premier gaming servers, crystal clear ventrilo ( www.ventrilo.com ), and state of the art web hosting, Branzone excels in every category. The next sponsor on the list was Bawls ( www.bawls.com ). Bawls is the number one drink for gamers of all ages. Providing a high caffeinated drink at a taste to die for, it is easy to see why they are number one. Bawls agreed to sponsor all of the first place teams in our league with a Bawls prize packs. The XPL is currently undergoing maintenance to the website and the league. They hope to re-open in early 2008.
FastFrag is the first Online Gaming system of its kind. The idea of FastFrag is to provide gamers a place to play their favorite games and get paid doing so. The system worked on a point scale. For every kill a person made in game they gained points, and vice versa, for every death a person lost points. The points could then be cashed out on our website for prizes or cash. My job at FastFrag was Public Relations Manager, and then promoted to General Manager. Gathering sponsors and advertising were the main aspects of my job. A few companies that I got to join forces with FastFrag were Hype Energy Drinks ( www.hype.com ), Cyber Snipa Lan Gear ( www.CyberSnipa.com ), MainStreamGaming Servers
( www.MainStreamGaming.com ), Steal Series ( www.stealseries.com ), and NationVoice ( www.NationVoice.com ). Throughout their sponsor ship they provided FastFrag with the servers, prizes, and discounts to make it a successful company. FastFrag closed their doors in June of 2007 for a revamp and will open their doors in the middle of 2008 with a brand new set of games and a new layout.
Ace Hardware
Ace Hardware has been the helpful place to go for all hardware related needs. Over the years they have dominated the market in quality products at low costs. I was employed in the company for six months being my first part time job at the age of 17. Ace Hardware gave me the hands on skills of talking with customer face to face and finding out what he/she needed to complete their home repair product. I got to learn valuable qualities of home repair and construction, not to mention sales experience over the six months of my employment. Ace Hardware was a local store in my town and in late June of 2006 they closed their doors, and I was no longer an employee of Ace Hardware.

Rolling Meadows Park District
In the small suburb of Chicago, Rolling Meadows is a quiet town with an ever growing population. With over 11 parks in a town with 25,000 people, maintenance is a large task. In 2006 and 2007 I worked as a seasonal ( June - August )in assisting with the maintenance of their parks. During these few years I learned how work in the real world by working outside of an office or store. Working hands on in construction and assisting patrons, I gained a great deal of knowledge. I am currently still a seasonal in the Park District during the months of June and August.
